I think the news needs a bit of a shake up.

Maybe something along the lines of starting with good news, and when that's done the presenter says something like 'that's today's good news, if you don't wish to hear about today's bad news, please go and make a cup of tea now.' Job done. These days out it does seem like the good news section would be a bit short though.
