Is the players group hug thing a way of sticking it to Nigel?

Is it to show that they have solidarity,that they rely and fight for each other,that Nigel is basically an outsider as far as they're concerned? They are building a metaphorical wall to keep him out and fortifying their own strength with intense stoic togetherness.

That's the kind of thing my shrink would say anyway.......
