Trouble is, it would mean that they would need to have in mind a new Manager straight away; what wilth Worthington theoretically "gone" on Dec 31st, we can't then wait 2-3 weeks to appoint someone else whilst all the other clubs are buying and selling, ditto no-one would be here to decide on any, if any, of our departures.

Which would suggest that someone within the club would be lined to take over "until the end of the season".

As Ben says, they've had more than long enough, but I can't see anything other than 10 points out of the next 12 as being enough to save him & even then, his time came and went long, long ago.
