good old carphone warehouse

my email:

I have recently purchased an O2 pay as you go phone, transaction number *******. It is supposed to come with ?10 free airtime credit as per the invoice but how I obtain this god only knows. On the one occasion I managed to successfully get through to your customer services and speak to a human being the gimp says he can't deal with it and puts me through to admin where it rings for about 5 minutes and I decide to hang up. So cheers for that. I check my credit and see the call has cost me a fiver. kind of ironic as the purpose of my call was to obtain 10 pounds worth of credit. why didn't alanis stick that line in her song? so I won't be calling you amateurs again but would appreciate an email or call in order to rectify the situation. merry xmas.

the response:

Thank you for your e-mail dated 15th December 2005.

I am sorry to learn about the problems you experienced with regard to the level
of customer service you have received. Please accept my sincerest apologies if
you feel that our service has fallen below your expectations on this occasion.
Clearly, this is not the service that we aim to provide, and we are currently
expanding our Customer Service teams to cope with the increase in our customer
base. This should enable us to ensure that we answer as many calls as possible
within our target time of 15 seconds.

To claim your ?10 free credit, I would advise for you to call in to your nearest
Carphone Warehouse Store where they will be able to provide you with a new
voucher.

I would like to apologise on behalf of The Carphone Warehouse and O2 for any
inconvenience this may have caused

I'm amazed they replied!!!!!!
