i only studied a very little japanese

and i was told that a final U is not realy pronounced in spoken japanese - if it is, it's just a very small aspiration. The word Desu (you are) is pronounced 'Dess' and the verb shimasu (you do) is pronounced 'shimass'. So why the f**k do all these 'intellectual' guys pronounce it 'Sudoqueue' or 'Sudokoo' when it's obviously 'Sudokk'?
