The Government needs to sort out its empty homes policies

London boroughs have s**tloads of properties laying empty - councils should be given powers to charge ridiculous, punitive council tax. Then it's a win, win.

Either the councils gets a bigger revenue stream to improve existing stock or more housing becomes available which could cool the rental prices.

No brainer really.
