I used to go drinking regualrly with a couple of FlyBe pilots.

I used to think the need to understand mathematics as a pilot was related to navigation and stuff. No, it's all so that you can work out at 11.47pm whether you need to order half a pint of 3.8% beer in order for your body to process out the alcohol in time for your flight 12 hours later, or whether you can go for a full pint of 4.7% stuff...
