Spanish: Rioja or Navarra
French: Burgundy/Pinot Noir or Bordeaux (either Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot)
You'll have to get greater detail on vineyards and years from others as I'm not much of a red drinker.
I don't know anything about Alsace wines.
If you like Chardonnay, and like them punchy - which most seem to be - then I personally tend to prefer the Chilean and NZ manufacturers.
Hopefully that's a start?
