Never thought this time yesterday

that I'd still be watching England bat 24 hours later.

Incredible resistance today, after the pathetic performance yesterday.

Yesterday I was angry and resigned to defeat. Today I'm on the edge of my seat and hanging on to a few strands of optimism.

If we somehow wangle a draw out of this, it'll underline why Test Cricket is the most brilliant sport of all.
