Missed your comments on Toronto til now. It wasn't too big but we were only there 4 nights initially, my daughter has lived there the last year and wanted to show us everything including Niagara and the place I booked on Airbnb was lovely but a little too far out, hence my feeling of it being a big place. Also the Subway is tiny compared to other big cities and my daughter lives on no money so was used to walking everywhere. It's vibrant place with opportunities for all but perhaps does lack a little character. We went to Halifax, Chester and Lunenburg in NS, the place is he size of England with a population of less than a million and every house seems to be by a lake, absolutely stunning.
