My mum died that way. She'd been out the evening before and died during the night.

So shocking for us all.

I get that she didn't have the long painful death that my dad suffered and she didn't have to cope with any scary declines, visits to the hospital, becoming 'a burden' and so on, all things she would have hated. Her sister, my Aunty Maureen said 'Cheer if I go that way'

But I'd have given anything for one more day to say goodbye properly.
