it was just surreal

First weekend there we went lookin for it. It took hours to eventually find it - i.e. I was expecting a concrete jungle and feel very hemmed in afore we went.
Place crawling with spooks - British, yanks, French, Russian, west German, east German, polish - you name it.
West Germans, a British garrison, a yank garrison, a French garrison - all in one big melting pot.
Like i say, surreal - but wonderful.
