In the last episode of Tom and Jerry, Tom keeps catching Jerry, but a baby keeps escaping

it's mother, and they both team up to save the baby

Each time Tom returns the baby, the mother hits him with a broom

Eventually the baby escapes, and Tom and Jerry watch on because they realise the mother doesn't care, and Tom will only get hit with a broom again
