Not really

In that you only have to go a few blocks off the beaten track and you're in a beautiful alley or looking over a bridge and it feels like you're the only people there.

Spending a few Euros on the river buses and floating under the Rialto, while mugs pay ?100 for 20 minutes in a gondola - it's all just what you make of it.

Hundreds of gorgeous little restaurants and bars and galleries... you can walk everywhere but never, ever see everything.

It's the most beautiful place I've ever been to.
