Personally, I'd stick to first aid out of work, and constantly revise what you've learnt

Go on a public course for first aid, and enjoy it. Go again in 6 to a years time to refresh yourself. Then you'll always be prepared

Why I'd say avoid the workplace one, is because there's so much law attached to the workplace. You'd be better off having someone grateful for your help, rather than do a good thing and find yourself in trouble because you didn't follow the red tape
