No they haven't. I've been there and seen them (admitedly not all of them, but enough, I think, to form a considered opinion) and they're definately rivers of predominantly water. Not gold. You see, on a temperate planet like ours, rivers of gold just wouldn't appear naturally, since the melting point of gold is far far higher than the temperatures found on the surface of the world. And it would be prohibitively expensive to maintain an artificial river of gold. Talking out of their arses.
