particularly the wise old head advising the inexperienced manager. Watford did it with Bertie Mee advising Graham Taylor during their period of ludicrous over-achievement. And Joe strikes me as the sort of avuncular chap who can put his arm round the shoulders of any malcontents that we want to keep and persuade them that their future is with us.
And Gary Holt (brought back as a coach by Lambert don't forget) has been a successful coach and manager and is the very embodiment of the attitude needed to get us promoted.
A good day for City in my view.
