PM: Jumbo

Thursday June 1st 1978:

'Yuck! Tony Blackburn for a whole month! (What a month too!) Still in just 20 days it will be my birthday! What an awful boring day. The only thing on telly was football (I think there's a football match going on somewhere...) Everyone else went to Weston (though it's really cold) so during the time the sun was out, I was out in the garden (with my cushion) revising (or trying to!). Did some maths and Geography. Saw a programme called 'Spend, Spend, Spend'. V sad! Sorry I don't have much to say over the last (and next) few days...'

Notes
- I presume TB must have taken over the R1 breakfast show?
- The world cup started that day. I would have been cross if there was no Top of the pops on
-I clearly didn't revise my maths enough as I failed my O level
- Not sure why I was apologising. It's not as though it was ever much more interesting than that!
- (I still put lots of things in brackets!)
