Broadband speed increase. Bellwire.

For those of us with non-fibre bb.

My Broadband speed was 4m.
I read that if i remove the bell wire (brown) from my master socket it increases bandwidth. This wire is from the old days when phones had electro-magnetic ringers.

I removed yesterday. Only 2 wires are connected - thats all a phone needs.

I am now on 4.7m !

Cuts out noise apparantly.
