Look, it is a really simple point.
I am not comparing Adams to Guardiola in any way other than to make the point that if the latter is appointed as manager on the basis of club culture, progressive attitude and apprenticeship experience, it is not unreasonable for an infinitely smaller club to do the same on an infinitely smaller level.
Dr Baker makes some absolutely excellent points about Guardiola's experience prior to taking the job. He has considerable pedigree. But then he should because of who Barcelona are.
Meanwhile, we are a Championship football club choosing from a not particularly large or outstanding pool of managerial talent.
The decision may turn out to be terrible - I really don't know. It wouldn't surprise me enormously if we slid further down. However I *do* accept the decision and I do think it could work.
I'm trying to take a moderate view, somewhere in the middle, which also includes being somewhat surprised by the level of vitriol aimed at the board by those with less than moderate views about the appointment.
