Forgot to add that Pearson kept Carlisle in the football league

when they were deep in the s**t, back when Jimmy Glass scored THAT goal.

He also had years as a prem coach, interspersed with several caretaker manager roles. At Southampton he had 14 games in charge when he kept them up. So add all of that together and that completely dwarfs Adams' five games in charge.

Rodgers took a long time before he became a success, do we want to wait that long. More to the point, can we afford to wait that long for something that might not happen?

Again, I'm not arguing against the Adkins comparison or even suggesting that Adams can't be successful, but the Pearson, Hughton and Rodgers comparisons are either inaccurate or would leave us in a mess. That's all I'm arguing.
