I like plenty of things that are popular, making me part of the "lowest common denominator". Football for instance. Sky made a fortune selling dishes to people like me who had to have access to TV footy. Doesn't mean I can't acknowledge the fact that sales is not the same as quality (football is hardly highbrow). Or the fact that Oasis (once a breath of fresh air) are now exceedingly boring and predictable.
