I'm just proud when an English team gets to the final and particularly proud when English players like Gerrard and Carragher are instrumental.

Millions more people will sit down and enjoy the final in this country than if it was Bayern against Juventus.

And yet I'm reading a load of parochial hogwash about Liverpool fans 'reckoning' they're a big club and their performance against Palace. Blah. blah, blah.

I can think of a reason to hate every team in England apart from our own but when it comes to a huge final, watched by the world with one of OUR teams involved, I DO feel proud and always have done.
