I agree it's a very English thing...

basically anybody who proclaims greatness before achieving something or fulfilling their predictied ambitions is hated because they are winners - from Oasis in Music to Mourinho to Football. Bitter bastards. Nation who love losers - Jimmy White is the prime example.
