Intimating in his EDP column today that if Worthy still has his job come January, there is every likelyhood he will keep it for the rest of the season.

This is because the closing of the January transfer window would not allow any new manager to build his own team.

This obviously overlooks the fact that a new guy could probably get the current crop of players playing better football.

The Board have been solidly standing behind their manager so even a defeat today would probably not change the situation. The fans will need to do more than just chant from the terraces to get their way.
