in the Championship winning season

we only had 3 central midfielders in our squad (Francis, Holt, Mullers) and yet we were lucky enough to have at least 2 of them available for every game. We had no injuries in defence either, which was just as well as we didn't have much backup (just Brennan & Shackell?) there either. same thing could easily have happened that year. But we had as excuse then. With all this money we got from promotion we have no excuse now. It isn't just the NUMBER of players we have that makes this squad so weak, its the balance/mix. It's all wrong. And loads of us said so before the season started.
