People of his generation would have learnt that version. Even my generation did.

I reckon he probably did say it. It's wrong to say it but he can't be blamed for a slip of the tongue, it wouldn't have been deliberate it would have just come out as he recited a nursery rhyme. Clarkson is hardly a racist.
