Regarding point one

Delia and MWJ have been involved in running a football club for nearly 20 years. Unless they are a bit thick, they must have learnt absolutely loads in that time about football. They've dealt with many managers (good and bad) and regularly are in contact with other owners.

Not really sure why they would have any less expertise by this time than, for example, McNally or Bowkett - who have spent much less time in and around the football industry.
