So us Worthy out people are bullies then? ....

according to Joe Ferrari, if you read this thread from the official site.

Morning Joe,

I was wanting to know what your opinion is of the replys to your post about fans views of what will be an acceptable season for Norwich?

I suspect it will take you a while to read through the numerous replys but i'm sure that you will not be suprised that they all advocate similar sentiments to what should be done regarding our current dire situation.

Hello,

firstly, I'm grateful for everybody who has taken the time to answer that post and to put their views across in numerous other posts.

In my opinion, it provides a comprehensive insight into what the majority of those supporters who feel confident/angry enough to post their opinions about the Club on this bulletin board feel.

I am genuinely asked on a daily basis for an update about some of the views expressed on here and other websites and I am providing that update to the best of my ability.

I hope people will continue to keep their views coming.

Thanks,

Joe

Sadly Joe, nothing is being done. I have never seen so many people wanting somebody removed. Can you say to us what there response is to these messages.

Do I take it then, Joe, from your very carefully worded response that you feel there is a silent majority that doesn't have the confidence or is angry enough to voice its opinion on the matter?

And is that what you have told the Board????

No fight, no hope.

I haven't used the term 'silent majority', though I know for a fact there are a number of people who feel disinclined to post anything supporting Nigel as they are instantly shouted down - and in some cases quite abusively unfortunately - by people who passionately adhere to the anti-Nigel argument.

I have to say I know how they feel!

It's obviously easier to quantify those that feel angry/confident enough to post anti-Nigel sentiments on here and other websites than it is to guess how many might feel more supportive but disinclined to post in the current climate.

I am not attempting to make that quantification.

In terms of what I pass on to the Board, it is what I said it is - the best and fairest summary I can provide of the views expressed on this and other bulletin boards by those who feel confident/angry enough to do so.

In the same way I provide an overview of media coverage, letters in papers, letters we receive here etc etc.

Thanks,

Joe

So of the letters you have received at Carrow Road where presumably people would not feel disinclined to send anything supporting Nigel. Can you give us an idea of what percentage are actually in favour of Nigel remaining as manager of this club?

Spin, spin, spin Joe, so what you are in fact saying are that Nigels fans are gutless cowardly types? Or is the FACT (get yourself down the various pubs before a game) that there simply are not that many Worthington fans at the moment?

Worthless Out!

I fail to see how anything I've said in this thread can be construed as 'spin'!

I've merely pointed out that there are some people who have contacted the Club saying they are disinclined to post anything on this or other websites supporting Nigel due to the often aggressive response this provokes.

On WOTB this morning for example a fan has posted a message concerned as to what effect chopping and changing managers might have and therefore advocating Nigel should stay - amongst the angry responses he received is one saying 'what a f..... idiot'.

Many people might prefer not to bother posting if that's the kind of response they get. I'm sure you'd all go bananas if I posted that in response to some of your sentiments and rightly so!

I have not attempted to imply that these people reluctant to post represent 'a silent majority' or indeed in any way attempted a quantification of how many supporters want to stick with Nigel and how many want him out.

I've merely pointed out that pro-Nigel supporters exist and that some of them feel disinclined to post due to the sometimes aggressive nature of the response they receive. It's their prerogative to decide not to post for those reasons, just as it is your right to post your anti-Nigel views on a regular basis.

Thanks,

Joe

Joe,

Long time reader, few times poster here!

From your email I can assume that you've reported the large anti-Worthy feeling back to the board on this website and others.

But can I also assume that you have reported back that there is a large pro-Worthy faction despite the lack of pro-worthy comments on this message board and others due to the perception (correctly or otherwise) that they will get shouted down?

From reading this board and the Pink'un I've noticed that in recent weeks it's gone from about 50:50 wanting Worthy in:out to about 10:90 on the message boards. Yes, people get shouted down, but a few months ago the people who were the first to clamber aboard the 'worthy out bandwagon' were also shouted down by the pro-Worthy contingent.

So can I ask where this perception is that so many people still are behind the manager? Are you getting individual emails or letters sent directly to you and the board proclaming their support for Worthy?

From a personal point-of-view I was one of those that wanted to give Worthy 10-15 games of the new season and then see where were at. But after witnessing the matches at MK Dons, Watford, Luton and then QPR it became increasingly obviously that something has gone horribly wrong and I can only see things improving with a change of manager and coaching staff.

Cheers,
Marc 'Fortress Canary' Weaver

Joe can u answer the question in my thread or in here.

Are the club going to make an offical comment on the NCISA statement or are they(the board) going to show complete disregard for the statement made by our biggest independent supporter group.

Joe, frankly I don't believe a word of what you have just said. It's just another poor excuse. This is the official site for the club and therefore I imagine it will receive a well ballanced proportion of supporters. Supporters that are passionate about their club and who are not afraid to post a comment just becuse others will disagree with it. If I honestly thought Worthington was the best manager for the job I would say it and fight my corner. I don't believe for one moment pro Worthington fans anre afraid to post their comments on here I just believe that there are hardly any any more.

If you look at this logically about for or five months ago there was healthy debate about the manager and arguments put forward from both sides. The posts have continued and and the general consensus of fans has now moved towards the opinion that the club would be better off without Worthington. I do think that it has anything to do with fans not wanting to post on here I think it has to do with peoples opinions changing in line with the rubbish performance of the team.
