Man U used to have the best players in the world in every position in the pitch (If not the best, close to it!) But these players have aged and are far past their best.

Ferguson has tried to show that hes as good as Wenger as finding replacements and tried to get bargains who have turned out to be flops. Also he has percivered with young players coming through who are clearly not good enough (Fletcher, OShea, Richardson etc) he keeps playing them willing them to be good enough even though they clearly are not. It is TEN YEARS since Manchester Uniteds youth team brought through a player who is good enough for them (Beckham, Scholes, Neville ETC) The production line has stalled dramatically.

It would take over 100m to make Man U great again, not only are the back up players not good enough (Which has been the problem in recent years) the first team players are now no longer good enough either.

O Shea, Brown, Silvestre, Fletcher, Smith, Scholes, Giggs, Saha, These players are not World Class and never will be, some have been in the past but wont ever be again.

Manchester United are a club in serious decline.
