I'm not against benefits

I think the current system where people are able to choose to do nothing is wrong though.

Ideally I'd like to see a system where people were required to do something in return for benefits. Maybe several days a month tidying the streets or delivering food to the elderly.

If every unemployed person was required to spend a minimum number of days per month doing something good for their community in return for benefits then the country would be a better place.
