The Board have done a decent job but it doesn't mean to say that they don't deserve

criticism when it's due and it's hard to argue against Jim's point. If there was ever the intention to sack CH then it most definitely needed doing earlier. Clearly the run in had to be taken into account and as he points out 'must win' games happening as frequently as they did showed something was wrong. It was clear that the match of CH and NCFC just wasn't working and the continual failure to collect points against bottom sides was always going to come back and bite us. For me, I'd have questioned his continuation as manager after Fulham at home at Christmas. The quality of our commitment and football was truly awful but what it showed more than anything was that when it came to playing teams at the bottom we were clearly in the same group and unless something changed we would be with them. It went on too long and failure to change the manager and strengthen in January were mistakes that I'm afraid only the Board can take the blame for.
