actually I think UEFA need to be careful on this one

Isn't it rather dangerous for sporting integrity to have one of your own players playing against you for another club in a key match?

If that player wants to return to the parent club and break into its first team, is he going to think his chances of doing that are better if he plays a blinder for the loan club by knocking the parent club out, or is he going to think that throwing the game and letting the parent club win is going to earn him more brownie points?

When the player in question is a goalkeeper, I would think it is incredibly stupid to want to let that player play against his parent club.
