On another subject....

....a few weeks ago, there were several optmistic-ish posts looking at England's possible WC squad. Suggesting perhaps things aren't quite as awful as we thought.

I couldn't sleep last night (too much adrenaline), and so tried to bore myself by thinking about our WC squad, and replicate that optimism.

But I started with striker options, and go stuck very quickly.

Rooney. Sturridge. Welbeck, I suppose.
Er...?
Were people really talking about Lambert or Carroll or someone going to a WC? And even if so, wouldn't we normally take 5? Surely not both of those?

So who was I / am I missing? Were you optimists relying on Rodriguez?

(When you've reminded me on this, I shall move on to midfielders...)
