The fact that the whole Premiership season seems to be seen by the club as a "one-off" and that we had our season in the sun, but were only ever going to get relegated, and thats what everyone not only expected, but KNEW would happen, and that, as far as Worthington is concerned, its a "gimme" (ie) you can't blame him for it as we were going down anyway.
His comments after that game were endemic of what he said all last season, how good the opposition was, what quality they had, how well they played (I don't think many teams had to do much more than turn up to beat us last season, that game at Liverpool was a good example!) and how it was always going to be hard for us, the defeatist attitude started on day one and never changed.
Great management isn't it, lets worry ourselves s**tless about the opposition rather than focus on ourselves.
