I hate the phrase 'if you were offered x before the start then you'd have taken it'

because it's such a nonsensical situation. Clearly it's not gonna happen and it implys that by accepting the offer you're forfeiting the opportunity to play for better.
And what the f**ks the point in being a sports team if you're not gonna play, so you'd never do that.

Apart from that, who the f**k is Carragher kidding? At the start of the season we were looking to build on two mid table finishes full of positivity about our expensive new strike force, not close the season just above the drop. Twat.
