It took a little time for mine to be diagnosed as the pain was on the left hand side, so

they ruled out gallstones as it's normally on the right. On my 3rd visit to casualty i suggested gallstones, and they begrudgingly took me for a scan, where they said, yes those would probably cause you some pain...
