all those things suggest the fans have really turned against the team at matches at times

thing is, I'd have said that hasn't happened much, given the vitriol there's been away from matches (eg on messageboards, in pinkun polls etc). Perhaps surprisingly rarely.

But I'm not at games, so this is not an informed view.
