I think it's about player's more than anything

Hughton's selection yesterday included our best ball playing midfielders - Howson, Tettey, Wes and Snodgrass are good in possession and rarely lose it needlessly.

The likes of Redmond and Johnson tend to lose the ball too easily at this level. Redmond rarely passes to team mates and runs down blind alleys. Johnson is simply a destroyer and is very limited on the ball.

Hughton's tendency towards these types of players has contributed to our lack of ability to control games.
