My email to Neil

Dear Mr Doncaster

I understand that you may well be receiving an influx of emails at the moment, which is understandable given the current plight of our club, please take the time to read each of these individually, they do of course come from the people that matter the most, the fans.

I have never been one to vent my frustrations at the manager from the stands, although I am thoroughly dissatisfied with the way things are at the moment, I do not believe that jeering and booing is a good way to motivate a failing team.

I understand the club wanting to show loyalty to Nigel. He has shown the fans and the club some great times over the past few years, with Norwich being the club that we are, it would make sense to stand by your man. The problem I think that we find ourselves with now is that at the moment, the anger felt by the fans is being directed at one man only, Nigel Worthington. How long before it turns to Delia and Michael? Or yourself? Then the players. How long before the club which as been dragged from the darkness is thrown back there?

A club without fans is a team, a team without a manager is weak, a weak team is a failure.

Norwich City football club has a strong history, with the passing of Mr Watling it is now time for the club to start a new legacy. One of toughness, resilience, strength and success. Everybody connected to the club enjoyed getting promoted, we want it again. We all want what is best for this club, this a point that needs to be emphasised. No one person is greater than our club, no fan, no board member, no player and no manager.

2006 is the opportunity for most for a fresh start. To make amends for past mistakes, to recreate yourself. Please enable Norwich City to do this.

There are no more corners left for us to turn, there is no light at the end of the tunnel. I know that you have the best interests of the club at heart, as do all the board, but please remove the yellow and green tinted glasses, and join the fans who for the first time in ages are united at this club for a common cause without bias. The results are there for all to see, I have the pleasure of seeing them staring back at me everyday from my desk, along with my selection of Norwich knick-knacks, which to be honest are now causing me a lot more pain than joy.

I was given the opportunity to go to Crewe this weekend and for the first time in the 14 years that I have been supporting Norwich City, I don't want to go.

Please act soon

Regards
