Here is what happened in my opinion.

On-board fire...maybe tire (Pulling Circuit Breakers won't help)
Crew overcome
Crew and passengers dead from smoke
Auto-pilot continues to fly until fuel ran out leaving little in form of "oil-slick" at crash site.
