having said that, I can confirm that about 98% of jokes in Spanish

are incredibly unfunny - mostly on the level of "why did the chicken cross the road - TO GET TO THE OTHER SIDE!!!"
It's quite rare to hear someone crack a joke in any Latin country though, maybe that's why they're all so SHIT.
