There is no one 'crucial game'

We have to get to 37 or possibly 38 points between now and the end of the season. Doesn't matter how we do it; we just have to.

Winning next week will not suddenly make us safe when we still have to reach 37 or possibly 38. All it will do is give us a better chance of doing so. And if this season's told us anything at all, it's that after winning a "must win or we're really f**ked" game, we then just drift backwards again over subsequent matches.

Meaning we're probably not going to beat both Sunderland and West Brom, however much winning both would constitute a giant stride towards safety. I think we've only got 2 wins left in us; I don't know where they'll come, but come they probably will. Whether that proves enough depends on our ability to scramble two or possibly three draws elsewhere.
