Obligatory "just back from the game" post

Thoughts:

1. Inept performance - no fight, no fluidity, couldn't keep possession, created next to nothing? as usual.

2. Southampton's defence was creaking in the first half. They gifted us the ball in and around their box a couple of times and Hooper/Snoddy fluffed their lines.

3. Pilks looked disinterested and was next to useless.

4. Ditto Whittaker

5. I can't believe I've witnessed an Elmander goal. Wonders never cease.

6. Was sat with the home fans (relatives/in laws are Saints fans and got us tickets with them) down the opposite end from the City fans. Our lot made loads of noise all game, even at 3-0 down. Saints fans, where I was sat, made no noise whatsoever. In fact, the row in front of me was made up of Spaniards, for some reason supporting Saints. Weird.

7. Pints of real ale in the Joshua Tree pre-match probably the highlight of the afternoon.

8. If we keep playing like that we'll struggle to get any more points at all for the rest of the season.
