Happy Mondays edge it I think

Stone Roses not far behind. The Buzzcocks had their moments and Joy Division had some great songs. New Order didn't necessarily have the lyrics, but they've made some classics over the years. The Fall were hit and miss, but t-t-t-otally (geddit?) unique. Can't ignore Oasis, of course, but they come some way down the list for me. I did like the Inspiral Carpets - can't beat a bit of Hammond Organ.
