Massively frustrating and dissapointing, but despite that not the worst result in the world. Im obsessed by following our delegations odds on betfair and we were shorter odds to go down before kick off than after. It may not feel like it, but this was not a bad weekend for us.
Some bang average performances today by many players. Wes was our best player.
Thought the sub came too early myself, but for my part when it came, I didn't immediately think wtf, which I did at, for example, west ham. I didn't mind the thought of Howson coming on.
And to be fair, we only coughed up our lead because of yet another utter howler by Bass. He so badly needs a break as he's been a liability recently, but it would appear nobody who could replace him is fit. So same again next week I suppose.
After the sending off, I thought Stoke looked like they could play for hours without giving up a chance. That my friends, is years of experience in how to grind out results when needed. They are masters at the dark arts. Shawcross is a bit of a thug, but my god he's solid. At this level he just doesn't make a mistake and wins 99% of what he goes in for. I challenge anyone to say that they wouldn't like to see him added to our defence. He's a cut above anything we've got and we need to keep that in mind before hammering our players. I hate watching stoke, but when theyre on it, they're tough to play against.
Poor wolf. Worked hard. Larrgly ineffective. I so want him to succeed, but this league is just too brutal for him I think. Hooper should start from now on.
West Brom is looking a bit massive isn't it?
