Ok, but the manager is the main one

If we have players who won't give 100% then that is due to his bad judgement (he bought them) and if it is just that they won't play for HIM then he is also clearly the problem. We can't change all the players and we can't change the board so changing the manager is the only realistic option we have to try and turn it around. Because he has clearly run out of ideas (both praising and criticising the players has been tried by him and both have failed)
