Have you not noticed that different employment rules apply in football?

Normal life - stub a cigar out in the eye of a junior colleague - sacked. Football - not sacked.

Basically you can do WTF you like in football and IF YOU ARE GOOD ENOUGH AT YOUR JOB you will not be sacked (or if you are someone else will snap you up).

This is because being EXTREMELY good at football (or management of football) is a very very very rare talent. And therefore makes money for the people who employ you. And therefore they will turn a blind eye to almost anything you do in order to have the benefit of your very rare skills.

Most people would be sacked because they can easily be replaced.
