Got a cup match tomorrow @2pm...

...against the only team below us in the league - and the only team we've beaten in the league too (five nil in our last game before Xmas). It's a group format though and we've already lost two of the four games with a -12 gd, so progression to the knock-out stages isn't looking too likely, even if we win tomorrow.

We've both struggled this year and will likely be returning to the 2nd of 3 divs in the Norwich & District Saturday League, barring any league shuffling due to lack of team reregistrations (we've avoided relegation to Div 3 like this before).

As of next season I'll be eligible for the Veteran's League (35+), so will be doing that every 2 or 3 Sunday afternoons whilst continuing on Saturdays for as long as possible. I either play in goal or down the left hand side (wing or full back) as I'm left footed. I've inherited arthritic knees from both sides of the family and they clunk & click on crouching, lock up in the cold and can't handle me kneeling down for too long enough as it is already, so crashing about in goal or charging up and down the wing can only continue for so long. I plan to make the most of it whilst I can and then switch completely to cycling (I bike to all my games & training). I like to do the odd road run too but I find my knees complain too much the next day - plus I can't find where my runners have disappeared to in the shoe cupboard!
