Cherry capsules, that's what you want in an emergency. If you start to get a tingle, take a few, that usually works and seems to stop the old piss crystals from forming. They're a natural remedy too, but not cheap. About ?12 for a bottle of 30 from Holland and Barrett, but they fairly regularly have a 'buy another for 1p' sale on in there. You can get them online for cheaper if you get them in bulk too.
But anyway, I hope you don't have another attack for a good while now, the first one is supposedly the worst too, or so my consultant rheumatologist said.
